For universal use
Reduces surface absorbency
- Surfaces sensitive to moisture are protected
- Extends the tile adhesive drying time
- Prevents blistering
- Moisture barrier thanks to second layer (cross layer)
Excellent adhesive bond
- Increases the adhesive strength of tiles and other coverings
- Secure grip to the surface
Balanced mixture ratio
- Easy, quick and clean to mix the two components
- No risk of incorrect dosing
Low viscosity
- Very easy to apply
- Good pore sealing
High material strength once fully cured
- High abrasion resistance
- Can be used on surfaces subject to high stresses
Resistant to bases, acids, lubricants and fuels
Suitable for commercial areas such as workshops, industrial areas
CERAfix 103 must be fully cured before the next coat is applied. Cover surfaces not to be treated (e.g. windows and doors) prior to application. Do not work "wet on wet". Protect from frost. Higher temperatures and low relative humidity accelerate the film formation time; lower temperatures and higher relative humidity extend the film formation time. Recognised technical regulations apply along with current standards and ZDB information leaflets.
When CERAfix 103 is applied as a surface sealing agent to mineral-based materials, surfaces can appear much darker and possibly even different shades. Shading and colour changes do not constitute a defect or affect the strength or benefit of the product. If necessary, test areas must be created in advance and evaluated with the customer.
Cerafix 103 is not suitable for use as a coating. When used for waterproofing or as a primer, it is important to ensure that the product is applied extremely thinly. Otherwise, there is a risk of irregular deposits and uneven surfaces. The surface can also become shiny. When applied on an untreated and porous surface, a colour-enhancing effect (wet effect) can occur, depending on the surface texture and absorbency. This is not considered grounds for a complaint.
Tested in accordance with EN 1504-2

- Steam permeability: Class II
- Pull-off test for adhesive strength: ≥ 1.5 (1.0) N/mm²
- Fire behaviour: Class E
- Hazardous substances: Conformity with 5.3 (En 1504-2)

- For priming and sealing pores. Spread plenty of TEGAfix 430 quartz sand across the fresh primer coat.
- For producing compensating compounds and scratch coats and preparing substrates for coatings
- For joining cracks and joints in screed and concrete
- For producing epoxy resin screeds and mortar
- As impregnation to strengthen substrates
- As a binder for epoxy resin mortars to seal penetrations and around installed parts
CERAfix 103 in two-chamber container is mixed as follows for all applications:
- Suitable protective equipment – goggles/face protectors, gloves – must be used! The hardener is acidic!
- The A component (resin) and B component (hardener) is supplied in the balanced mixing ratio. B component (hardener) is added to the A component (resin). To do this, the top chamber of the container can be pierced with a point chisel so that the hardener can flow into the second chamber below. Ensure that all of the hardener flows out of its chamber.
- Then mix the two components with a suitable Würth agitator (without allowing air to get in) at approx. 250–300 rpm. To ensure that the hardener is distributed evenly, it is important to stir it from the side and base as well. The hardener must be mixed until the mixture is uniform and free from streaks; the mixing time is approx. 3 minutes. Then put the mixed material into a cleaner mixing bucket and carefully stir again. Do not process the hardener straight from the container it was supplied in!
