Double thread screw ideal for securing roof insulation and façade mounting using soft or pressure-resistant insulating materials

Steel, yellow galvanised, double thread, cylinder head, AW drive

Head:

Small cylinder head — ideal for sinking into wood

Thread:

A coarse, single-flight asymmetrical thread reduces the screw-in time by 30%

Plastic non-friction coating:

Enables easy screw-in due to sharp threads with glide-promoting coating

AW drive:

  • Optimum centring

  • Largest possible contact surface of the bits in the screw drive, thus no ejection forces

Combination/replacement products:

  • ASSY 3.0 SK

  • ASSY plus VG
Notice

ASSY Isotop is screwed into the rafters, for example, through the counter lathing and insulation without pre-drilling. With very dry wood (e.g. old building renovation) we recommend pre-drilling the counter lathing 8 mm.

You can use the Würth timber dimensioning software for an individualised static recommendation. Use this formula to easily calculate the screw length (specified in mm).

Additional product documentation:

  • Würth timber dimensioning software, (available online or as a download for offline work)

  • Timber dimensioning software, load tables and detailed processing instructions can be found on the service page www.wuerth.de/assy.

  • Data sheets for over-rafter insulation

Application area

Attachment of the insulation layer for rafter-insulated gable roofs and curtain-wall façades to insulation layers.

Instructions

Roof application 1

  • With soft insulation < 0.06 N/mm2

For soft insulation with a pressure resistance below 0.06 N/mm2, such as fibreglass, mineral wool, animal and plant eco-insulation = use an alternating screw-in pattern at an angle of 60° to the rafter axis.

Roof application 2

  • With pressure-resistant insulation > 0.06 N/mm2

For non-slip insulation with a pressure resistance above 0.06 N/mm2, such as hard polyurethane (PUR) or polystyrene (PDS) foam = parallel screw-in pattern at an angle of 60° to the rafter axis.

Calculation of the required screw length:

  • Thickness of securing battens in mm

  • + thickness of insulation in mm

  • + thickness of boarding in mm

  • + 60 mm screw-in depth

Intermediate result in mm x a factor of 1.15

  • Final result in mm

  • Use the next longest screw length

The packaging unit defines the number of articles in one packaging. In the catalog segment you can choose from different packaging units if a pop-up menu is displayed.

Just leave the field empty if you don't know the packaging unit when directly entering the article number in the shopping basket or when importing with Easy-/VarioScan. The packaging unit will be determined automatically.
The article number is made up of the following: VVVVAAABBB
VVVV = 4 digits for prefix number (please note that the first digit is currently always 0)
AAA = 3 digits for dimension part 1
BBB = 3 digits for dimension part 2

Example article number structures:
Example 1: Screw with dimensions of 4x10 mm:
VVVVAAABBB
00574 10 (2 spaces between the 4 and the 10)

Example 2: Screw with dimensions of 10x20 mm:
VVVVAAABBB
005710 20 (1 space between the 10 and the 20)

Example 3: Flat washer with an internal diameter of 6 mm:
VVVVAAABBB
04076
Price per packaging unit (PU):
The displayed price is always in line with the displayed packaging, if the PU is 250 the price for 250 units, if the PU is 300 the price for 300 units.

Price with price key representation (PSL):
The price always applies to a quantity ruled through the price key:
Price for 1 unit
