Install dowel pin flush with the timber surface. The hole in the wood must be no larger than the bar dowel diameter.
The inner sheet steel element in sheet steel to wood connections should be at least 3 mm thick as the minimum edge distances are determined exclusively from the edge distances in the wooden component from this thickness upwards.

Fastening inner steel to wood or wood to wood connections of e.g. post support brackets, join connections, tie rod connections or joist brackets.
The diameter of bore holes in the wood must correspond to the dowel pin diameter.
The diameter of bore holes in the metal may only be max. 1 mm larger (nominal external diameter) than the dowel pin diameter.
