The overpressure formed in the mask keeps contaminated ambient air away from the user. The mask is made of materials that do not generate sparks when friction is present and can therefore be used in an explosive or fire-hazardous environment. The control valve is equipped with a warning whistle, which emits a signal when the air volume falls below the recommended value. A flow meter for controlling the air volume is included in the scope of delivery. Compressed air should be cleaned with a Sundström type SR 99 compressed air filter.
