Used for the safe and economic laying of ceramic coverings such as earthenware, stoneware, stoneware tiles (water absorption < 0.5 %), clinker brick, brick tiles and ceramic mosaics. PLUS CERAfix 403 light tile adhesive is suitable for secure laying on all substrates in accordance with DIN 18157, Part 1, e.g. concrete, autoclaved aerated concrete, suitable plaster, cement and calcium sulphate/hot screed or melted tarmac screed of hardness class IC10, masonry, gypsum plasterboard as well as on old securely adhered tiles using a suitable primer. Also suitable as bonding material for lightweight panels, e.g. hard foam and tile support elements. Suitable for laying tiles on mineral CERAfix 301 compound sealant and dispersion-bonded CERAfix 302.
Uneven substrates can be levelled out using PLUS CERAfix 403 light tile adhesive (before laying the tiles) up to a layer thickness of 15 mm on walls and on the floor.
Mix light tile adhesive PLUS CERAfix 403 with drinking water in a clean container, ensuring mixture is free from clumps.
Mixing ratio:
- As pourable bed mortar: 10.0-10.5 l water: 15 kg light tile adhesive PLUS CERAfix 403
- As levelling filler: 7.4-7.9 l water: 15 kg light tile adhesive PLUS CERAfix 403
- As thin bed mortar: 7.5-8.2 l water: 15 kg light tile adhesive PLUS CERAfix 403
When using light tile adhesive PLUS CERAfix 403 as a pourable bed adhesive, first mix with approx. 8 l water and then mix in the rest of the water until a pourable bed consistency is achieved. Give the product 4 minutes to mature and then stir again. Use the adhesive mortar within the processing time. Spread a flat layer of the mixed adhesive on the surface and comb through with the toothed trowel suitable for the panel size. Lay the covering materials within the adhesive drying time (test with your finger).
