For bonding silver mirrors according to DIN EN 1036 and the following plastic mirrors in indoor areas:
- ICI Perspex bronze, silver, gold
- Röhm & Haas bronze, gold
- Plexiglas XT colourless
- The compatibility of the adhesive and the mirror coating must be checked for all other mirrors
- Not suitable for bonding safety mirrors
For bonding mirrors on walls and doors. Suitable for the following surfaces: concrete, tiles, plaster, wood, plasterboard, chipboard, polystyrene, hard PVC and metal.
Surfaces must be load-bearing, clean, dry and free from dust and grease. Loose coats of paint or other loose adhesions must be removed. Mirrors must not be glued onto wet or damp surfaces.
Mirrors with a thickness of up to 4 mm can be bonded without the use of supports. Thicker mirrors must be mechanically fixed to angled or vertical walls or ceilings for at least approx. 12 hours until the adhesive has hardened completely.
Apply the adhesive in vertical strips (beads) with a thickness of 6 mm to 8 mm, leaving a distance of approx. 10 cm between each strip. Do not apply the mirror adhesive horizontally or in dots under any circumstances! Mount the mirror within 5 to 10 minutes after applying the adhesive and press on firmly. The reverse of the mirror must remain ventilated to ensure cross-linking of the adhesive.
Cleaning: Remove uncured adhesive residue with a suitable cleaner. Hardened adhesive residue can only be removed mechanically.
