Datasheets(X)
The rendering base is a water-based, adhesion-promoting special primer for subsequent coatings with mineral, silicate and synthetic resin renders. All textured renders (e.g. rolled render, textured plaster, pebbledash) can be lightly mounted and textured on the touch-dry surface. The rendering base is also ideally suited as a base coat for screed techniques with glazes and emulsion and silicate paints.
Can be used on concrete, cement and lime cement plaster, gypsum surfaces, fibre cement and gypsum board, absorbent dispersion plaster and colour paints.
Surface pre-treatment:
The surface must be dry, load-bearing and free from release agents (dust, formwork oil, grease, etc.). Remove old wallpapers, poorly adhering paintings or distempers using Würth wallpaper stripper. Also remove loose rendered parts. Prime highly absorbent, sandy or chalky surfaces. New renders must have dried out for at least 14 days and treated with a fluosilicate solution (if the render has been drying for 4 weeks, applying a fluosilicate solution is not necessary). Pre-fill deep holes and chips with Würth joint and surface filler.
Application:
The rendering base can be applied with a paint roller, brush, paintbrush or suitable airless spraying device. When applying with the spraying device, the max. grain size of 0.5 mm must be observed.
The coated surfaces can be processed further once fully dried. Depending on the surface absorbency, temperature and ambient conditions, the drying time is approx. 8 hours. Surfaces already coated with a rendering base must not be worked with gypsum or cement-based fillers.
Clean all equipment with water immediately after use.
