ASSY®plus MDF
The screw for MDF (medium-density fibreboard). Thanks to the special geometry of the screw tailored for use in MDF, the screw can be screwed in without producing a preliminary bore in the end grain. This makes the screws ideal for use when constructing preliminary structures, for example.

Galvanised steel, blue passivated
AW drive
- Maximum force transmission
- No wobbling
Small countersunk head
Optimum countersinking in MDF without curving
Thin screw core
prevents the screw from "pushing into" the material
Grooved screw base
distributes drilling chips to optimum effect
Asymmetrical thread
High tension resistance
Long drill tip
Increased chip space, reducing the pressing power acting on the material
Forstner drill tip
Excellent drilling results; accurate positioning thanks to centring point
Please note that a distance of 30 mm must be observed to the edge (edge of the end grain).
Due to the varying densities produced by different manufacturers, preliminary trials are required when implementing screw joints in the narrow edge. It is always recommended to use the smallest possible diameter (3.5 mm)
All screw joints made in MDF that require a screw to be inserted in the end grain. To secure fittings on the surface, please use ASSY MDF screws without a drill tip.
