For airtight connections to e.g. eaves or gable walls that can be plastered over
- For a variety of common building substrates
- For the airtight connection of Wütop vapour retarders, vapour barriers and panel surfaces to the indoor construction substrate
- Max. four weeks outdoor exposure time for use in covered outdoor areas
- If the masonry substrate is uneven, a smooth finish is required in accordance with DIN 4108-7 for the application of EURASOL sealing tape
- Good adhesion is usually possible on concrete, calcium silicate block, wooden surfaces, OSB boards, gypsum plasterboards, gypsum fibreboards, hard PVC and metal surfaces as well as Wütop vapour retarders and vapour barriers
- The surfaces must be dry and free from dust, ice and grease, promote adhesion and be capable of bearing loads
- Pre-treat mineral and highly absorbent surfaces with Würth EURASOL Primer Plus SK spray primer or butyl primer
- Soft wood fibre panels must be pre-treated with EURASOL Primer Plus SK
- As the masking film is divided, it can also be conveniently glued around the edges by folding the tape and peeling off one side of the film first. It is important to create a movement loop, which is facilitated by the adhesive-free zone in the centre.
- The tape must not be applied under tension; tensile loads on the tape must be avoided
- When bonding, ensure sufficient contact pressure and counter pressure as well as wrinkle-free application
- Avoid standing water in the area around the tape
- The printed side can then be plastered over
- If using outdoors, the tape must be plastered over or covered by a maximum of four weeks after application
- Preliminary tests are recommended, especially for films not from the Wütop series
