- Nut with limited load capacity
- No damage to the thread surface
- Ambient temperature: -70°C to +120°C
- Due to the zinc layer, ideal for avoiding cold welding.
NoticeHexagon nuts that comply with the retracted DIN 985 standard and have a lower nominal height must not be loaded with the test force according to DIN EN ISO 20898-2.
These nuts can be identified by the vertical bar on either side of the strength class (e.g. I8I).
DIN 985 has been replaced by ISO 10511, 10512 and 7040.

Application areaIn situations where cold-welding is to be avoided.
InstructionsWhen the bolt-nut connection is established, the thread of the screw is secured in the plastic washer. This generates clamping force between the thread profiles. Due to the high level of friction, this clamping force generates the locking torque necessary to maintain the preload force.
