The One Piece connector’s ferrule is already pressed against the spindle’s ferrule slot.
The connector is always equipped with a ferrule.
Please note that the One Piece connector is officially approved for specific tubes only.

The One-Piece connector is officially approved only for certain hoses.
One Piece connectors have been tested/certified for use with Bridgestone/Intertraco tubes.
The official compression dimensions are in use when the One Piece connector is attached to a Bridgestone/Intertraco tube.
One Piece connectors have not been tested for use with Tekno/Premier tubes.
The pipe size is measured from the bottom of the connector; the bottom is the lap diameter.
Note the ferrule stripes and the K or J type marking on the One Piece connector.
K: intended for a 2-ply cross-ply tube, sizes 1/4” = 04 and 3/8” = 06.
Those with the J mark can be used in both 2-cross weave, 3-cross weave and 4-Spiral hoses,we have sizes 1/2” = 08 – 1 1/4” = 20.
The strength of a K-type ferrule is significantly lower than a J-type ferrule. The two types have their own compression dimension tables.
