For applying hard wax. Also for melting, modelling and mixing paints. The temperature can be constantly adjusted.
Turn the temperature controller to the plus sign (+). Slide the on/off slider to the front. You should now hear the gas hissing. Then use the flint stone wheel to allow the sparks to enter the spark chamber while the gas melter is being ignited. The gas flow can now be adjusted using the controller. Keeping the flow lower is better because a higher flow may damage the hard wax, which can result in colour loss or residues on the melting tip.
