It has a reinforced, precision-machined gantry and a precision-cut printing bed that can be removed and replaced with a repeatability of 10 μm. Each component of the filament extrusion system - from nozzles to the extruder hob cutters - is optimised to withstand wear caused by nylon filaments filled with micro carbon fibres and to maintain print quality over thousands of hours. Sensors for material losses ensure that printing always occurs while a scanning laser on the print head allows the printer to dynamically adjust the first layers of a print to achieve perfect bed attachment and to check parts after printing for accuracy.
