For the construction of a lower window sill in both renovations and new builds. Optimal thermal insulation of the window parapet. In conjunction with EPDM sealing tape as a tub seal, a second water-bearing level is achieved under the window sill.
For assembly we recommend the following adhesives, which are applied in beads from the back to the front:
- SMP-EPDM sealing tape adhesive, art. 0893700154, 0893700155
- EPDM sealing tape adhesive, art. 0893700150, 0893700153
- Façade adhesive, art. 089240010
The backs of the insulation wedges are fully abutted with the window base profile so that they are in contact with it along the entire length. If the wedges are cut, they will also be end-jointed.
Any gaps from the base profile, at the joints and on the reveal sides are filled with SMP-EPDM sealing tape adhesive, with EPDM sealing tape adhesive, with façade adhesive or with PURLOGIC® TOP 1-component gun foam.
After installation, the EPS insulation wedge must be sealed with EPDM sealing tape in a tub shape.
