This flap disc has been optimised for use on stainless steel. Due to the multi-bond coating and the self-sharpening effect, the SMT 976 with CEVOLUTION technology features impressively aggressive grinding and a longer service life when machining tough materials compared to its predecessor, the SMT 996. The multi-bond coating helps to reduce the grinding temperature in the grinding zone. This makes the SMT 976 ideal for stainless steel. The multi-bond coating also delays premature clogging when used on non-ferrous metals and aluminium.
