Overview

  • Heatbed with embedded magnets that can withstand high temperatures

  • These magnets hold the removable spring steel sheets in place

  • Powder-coated metal makes it very difficult to damage the print sheet

  • If a hot nozzle comes into contact with the metal, it can dissipate the heat

  • Powder coating also gives the surface a distinct textured look that will be visible on your prints

  • The textured surface hides most mechanical damage caused by tools

  • Only the top of the small bumps can be scratched, which will not imprint on the bottom of the model

Advantages

  • Scratch resistant, difficult to damage

  • Transfers texture to prints

  • Prints detach automatically once the sheet cools

  • Glue stick not required for PETG

  • The first layer can be compressed more forcefully than on smooth sheets

Disadvantages

  • PLA prints with a small contact area may require a brim

  • PLA prints with a large footprint may warp

  • If you also own a smooth PEI sheet, the Live Adjust Z setting needs to be adjusted

  • Never clean using acetone
