Secure adhesion for virtually all kinds of wallpapers and wall coverings, e.g. all ingrain wallpaper textures, embossed non-woven wallpapers, textured and embossed wallpapers; vinyl and textile wallpapers, ingrain non-woven wallpapers, lining paper, reinforcing fleece and woven glass fabric (laminated or non-laminated). Also suitable for use on difficult surfaces such as freshly plastered surfaces, surfaces with old plaster and gypsum plasterboard.
Surface pre-treatment:
The surface must be dry, load-bearing and free from release agents (formwork release oil, grease, dust etc.). Remove old wallpapers, poorly adhering coats of paint or distempers using Würth wallpaper stripper, art. no. 0893 000 130. Patch up cracks, holes and uneven areas using the Würth joint and surface filler (art. no. 0892 600 15/0892 600 18). Harden sandy and chalky surfaces with primer. Pre-paste or prime highly absorbent surfaces.
Application:
Quickly add the universal glue to cold, clear water (see table) while stirring the water vigorously and continue stirring for a short time. Stir well again after 2 to 3 minutes. Stir vigorously again after 15 minutes. Apply an even layer of glue and in the specified thickness on the back of the wallpaper using a wallpapering device or a brush, and paste the wallpaper to the wall as specified by the manufacturer. Dimensionally stable wall coverings that do not require any soaking time are also suitable for wallpaper pasting. Apply the glue to the surface in a width to match the wallpaper width using a spraying device or a short-pile lambswool roller. Place the wall covering directly on the pasted wall and press on evenly using a roller (cellular rubber roller) or a wallpaper brush. Moisten the back of laminated wall coverings with a wet sponge before bonding them. The application notes from the wallpaper manufacturers must be observed. Wash off glue residues with clear water and finish by wiping with a dry cloth. Clean all equipment with water immediately after use. Do not use in rooms or on objects colder than +5°C.
