Among the innovative functions is the disc brake, which has been specially developed for this tool and offers a number of notable performance advantages. Unlike conventional pneumatic random orbital sanders, the rotation is slowed down as soon as the power tool is removed from the surface. This mechanism avoids unintended deep scratches that can occur when an unbraked random orbital sander is placed on the surface. The external channels on the newly developed abrasive disc feed fresh air into the centre of the power tool. This provides increased airflow, resulting in excellent suction.
