Double-sided, satin-finished and powder-coated spring steel sheet for the Prusa CORE One L

Overview

  • The heat bed is equipped with embedded magnets that can also withstand higher temperatures

  • The magnets are strong enough to firmly hold removable spring steel sheets in place

  • The printing properties of the satin-finished sheet are somewhere between smooth and textured print sheets

  • The powder-coated surface with slightly textured, matt finish provides optimal adhesion, particularly when printing with PLA and PETG

  • The print sheet is fully compatible with a wide range of standard and special filaments, such as ABS, ASA, FlexFill 98A and polycarbonate

  • Most materials can be reliably printed without a separating layer such as adhesive

  • Although polycarbonate prints especially well on satin-finished materials, it is advisable to apply a thin layer of glue stick when regularly printing PC to avoid damaging the sheet

Advantages

  • Suitable for PLA and for PETG

  • Slightly textured surface

  • Glue stick not required for PETG

  • Wide range of supported filaments including modern materials such as PC blend

  • Easy maintenance and good adhesion properties

Disadvantages

  • Acetone leads to quick degradation of the surface

  • Printing ASA or PC blend requires a brim/skirt/shield around the print

  • Do NOT use sharp metal objects (e.g. a spatula) to remove the print!
Notice

Never use acetone to clean the satin-finished, powder-coated spring steel sheet! This causes microfractures in the texture, which will cause the surface to deteriorate over time.

Consumables such as print sheets (smooth, textured etc.) are excluded from the warranty as the coatings are designed to diminish over time. The warranty still applies in the case of failure due to material or manufacturing faults. Cosmetic damage including but not limited to scratches, dents, cracks and other cosmetic faults are also not covered by the warranty. Only sheets defective on arrival are covered by the warranty.
