Application area

Optimised cutting geometry specially adapted to use with the Vario drill by Wieländer+Schill with ultra high-strength body steels (recommended rotation speed: 900 rpm)

For drilling all steel plates including ultra high-strength components (BTR, BOR, etc.) to 1500 N/mm², cast iron, stainless steel sheeting, brass sheeting, aluminium sheeting, zinc sheeting, copper sheeting, bronze sheeting and plastic panels.

Instructions

The solid carbide material is extremely hard, making it very brittle and prone to breaking if not handled correctly.

Position the cutter precisely and at a right angle. Position the cutter in the centre first, then cut applying even contact pressure.

Avoid hard attachment as well as lateral impacts and dropping of the cutter under all circumstances

Use coolants/lubricants if possible
