The microphone can be attached to the exhalation valve of the mask without any tools. The speaker is small and compact and is mounted in a breast pocket or on a belt. SR 324 is robustly constructed and is insensitive to vibrations, strikes and impacts, as well as to dust and moisture, but should not be immersed in water or placed under running water. When used properly, the voice amplifier does not affect the normal protective function of the mask in any way.
