Structural dovetail connector made of laminated beech veneer for the installation of solid wood or CLT wall, roof and ceiling elements.

The connector has a tapered, dovetail shape for a strong, precise connection between elements.

High level of factory pre-fabrication via simple CAD planning and joinery machine usage.

Connectors are secured quickly and easily using two ASSY 4 PII CSMP screws of 8 mm diameter and length 70, 80, 90 or 110 mm.

Proper assembly and correct connector alignment are ensured as the connector is inserted into pre-drilled holes of differing sizes.

50 % faster assembly time compared to conventional metal connectors due to simple pre-assembly, large initial installation clearance during insertion into the milling pocket and the lack of need for wall supports.

Instructions

The WC-DT (dovetail) wood connector is a tapered, wedge-shaped connector. It is inserted into pin holes of different sizes and screwed in place with two ASSY 4 PII CSMP screws of 8 mm diameter. The WC-DT connector and hook-on pockets are positioned during the CAD planning of the elements. Once mounted on the timber elements, the WC-DT wood connector is hooked into the tapered pocket located on the connecting component. As the timber structure is lowered, the two timber elements become connected as the WC-DT wood connector is wedged into the milled pocket.
