The information in the data provided is based on our current knowledge and experience. Due to the many possible influences during processing and application of our products, this information does not release the user from the obligation to perform their own inspections and tests, and it does not contain any guarantee of properties or suitability of the product for a particular purpose. It is the responsibility of the user to determine the process capability of their 3D printer and to conduct tests for their use cases using our materials. The values refer to test specimens generated from the semi-finished product and not to values based on printed test specimens.
PETG-CF (carbon fibre-reinforced PETG) is primarily used in FDM/FFF 3D printing to produce dimensionally stable, rigid yet practical functional parts for which standard PETG is not suitable. The carbon fibre reinforcement makes PETG-CF particularly suitable for heavy-duty brackets, housing, covers and adapters, as well as fixtures and workshop tools that require higher dimensional stability and a "technical" finish. It is also well suited to outdoor applications and components that require higher resistance to moisture, UV exposure or temperature fluctuations, such as robust components for use in gardens, hobby projects or vehicles. It is also typically used for lightweight structural parts (e.g. frame/beam-like components), as the fibres increase stiffness and reduce warping, while the PETG base makes it suitable for everyday use. The PETG-CF filament is ideal for use in 3D printers for producing components with a good balance between visual and mechanical properties. Its low moisture absorption and high dimensional stability under changing environmental conditions make it suitable for use in humid operating environments.
Additional printing guidelines
- High extruder speeds can affect printing accuracy.
- It is recommended to select the speed based on your own experience and approach the upper limit.
