- PETG is one of the world's best-known plastics
- Can be printed just as easily as PLA, but is stronger
- Equally suitable for beginners and advanced users
- Balance between mechanical and optical properties
- Wide range of colours
- Broad operating range
- Excellent layer adhesion
- Can be recycled
- Relatively low deformation/shrinkage
- Consistent filament, even between colours and batches
- The best available raw materials are selected, resulting in high-quality printing material and a robust, reproducible processing result
- PETG is based on food-grade raw materials (granules) suitable for applications involving contact with food in accordance with the EU's plastics regulation
- Raw material is certified in accordance with REACH and RoHS standards
The information in the data provided is based on our current knowledge and experience. Due to the many possible influences during processing and application of our products, this information does not release the user from the obligation to perform their own inspections and tests, and it does not contain any guarantee of properties or suitability of the product for a particular purpose. It is the responsibility of the user to determine the process capability of their 3D printer and to conduct tests for their use cases using our materials. The values refer to test specimens generated from the semi-finished product and not to values based on printed test specimens.
PETG filament (polyethylene terephthalate glycol) is primarily used in FDM/FFF 3D printing when you need a material that is tougher and less brittle than PLA, while still being easy to print. It is typically used for functional and mechanically stressed components such as brackets, clips, housing, adapters, workshop tools and printer parts. Thanks to its good layer adhesion and frequently cited chemical resistance, PETG is also well suited for parts that come into contact with oils, greases or cleaning agents, as well as for water-resistant or moisture-prone applications (e.g. covers, container-like prototypes). PETG is also used in industry for manufacturing aids (jigs and fixtures) and robust prototypes that need to be tested "in the field".
Additional printing guidelines
- High extruder speeds can affect printing accuracy.
- It is recommended to select the speed based on your own experience and approach the upper limit from there.
